The 105 Bimbo now offers you the ability to swap out tubes and tailor
your tone to your taste trying different power tube tone options like EL34, 6L6, 6V6, K77, etc.
Are you living in apartment? Do you need to record or practice at home? Even during the night?
You're frustrated you can't use your actual amp at the volume you need because it's too loud and it sounds too weak at minimum volume settings?
Your recordings are missing tone impact? Do you miss that touch liveliness and response only tubes can give you?
Your composing vein is affected?
Still the neighbors moaning?
We have a tube amp that sounds the same at any volume level from 5W down to a 1/20W,
capable of providing you with all the recording tones you need to
comfortably compose at any hour of the day and of the night (when inspiration gets magic).
This video was shot at midnight in an apartment and shows the Bimbo ability to produce
full blast power tube distortion at barely audible volume levels for your recording.
The 105 "Bimbo" 5W tube amp is single channel, 5 watt, class A amplifier that incorporates the preamp design based upon one
of the most legendary rock guitar amplifiers ever produced in the early 1970.
The best sound ever.
What makes the 105 unique though is the incorporated special attenuation control which allows to achieve
the same tone as our loud sound but at a much lower volume for cranked amp tone and distortion at whisper levels. This makes it ideal for home studio use.
Don't believe? Check the Bimbo 105 incredible tone and versatility in this great night apartment
video below where Stefano Melchiorre plays the 105 Bimbo
along with some effects to show the whole amp potentialities at barely audible volume.
Like its original '70ies counterpart, this amp likes the guitar volume to be used like an appendage control. Adjust the controls for your best lead sound, turn
the guitar’s volume knob down a bit for crunch and turn it down a bit more for cleans. It also likes the use of pedals so feel free to experiment with your overdrive
for super high gain tones.
The internal speaker is detachable allowing you to wire the 105 through whatever 4/8 or 16ohms cabinet (we suggest Celestion G12-75 speakers with this amp)
for that huge tone.
No effects loop, no reverb, etc here as the extra circuitry required by such functions, would degrade the tonal purity but
check the video above to learn how this amp LOVES effects!

"GF, GF, I LOVE this little thing! It has such a creamy tone! ... It sounds great with my strats and teles, too. ... It's become my favorite amp for practicing at home, and I've used it on a few sessions, too. Thanks again for making a very cool little amp. Carl

"GF, This is how I use the Bimbo for quiet low volume practice and
recording in small home studio environments when a small portable
tube tone is needed that sounds like a large stack
Optional Overdrive Pedal used for heavy gain and lead sounds.
For cleaner to crunch tones I place the volume and attenuator
at max, the gain at 9 o'clock and then I adjust the volume of
the guitar exactly like on an old Plexy."

"Hi Galeazzo, I cannot believe how nice this little guy sounds. Classic Marshall
tones at medium volumes. To practise with a good solid tube
tone or to record meaty tones...in fact I think this little amp
sounded so good that I replaced the second rhythm track on
my new CD with it. Check out the reaction of that amp with
different settings of your volume pot on the guitar, fantastic!"

P90 pickups and right is a Tele thinline - both guitars with the same setting on the
amp and miked with a Neumann TL193 using a Brent Averil mic preamp....the solo is in
the middle which was played with a Digitech unit (so far)... you can use this excerpt

“For 5 watt this amp has a hell of a lot of volume. For some players
(in bands with drummers that do not get too carried away) this amp
will do the trick.
With a combination of some stomp boxes, the 1/05 would also be great
for solo/duo work or recording. Still, due to the tone that is offered
out of this amp, it would be a crime to only use it at home.”

"Capturing the crunch and tonal characteristics of a vintage Marshall
isn’t an easy feat, but the Bimbo did produce a sound very similar to what I’ve heard many times before.
When you dig in, you get that great AC/DC kerrang, and lightening up the touch cleans the sound up considerably.
Rolling back the volume knob on the guitar further cleaned up the signal.
It’s pretty impressive when you can get an amp to clean up at such a low volume..."
